So in my 12th grade I gave up on JEE Mains and started applying to the US. Didn't get into any college but ended up presenting at IIT Bombay and winning a global makerspace competition. Damn, I spent 70k INR in application fees.

One thing I noticed is that I’m doing the same like the video I edited and many more projects are coming from my side for my college admission to go smooth. But unfortunately I don’t have a friend circle which shares my common goal. But I’ll also do something as an extra curricular activity.

pro tip: Even if u don’t get into any top clg in India or outside. Don’t worry just remember to keep in touch with the guys in top colleges. I can tell you in India every clg is the same just whether it is IIT or Nit or any other clg , it is the quality of students and their peer group which helps then excel in everything.

No you are slightly wrong here. I myself did my bachelors in a low tier college but somehow managed to get into MBA in a high tier one. This is what I saw.
First point what u say is right. It’s the students that are different. But bcoz of that the level of faculty is also different. Faculty becomes a very big factor here.
Also top tier colleges have more connections with industrial groups which helps in getting practical knowledge. They also have better infrastructure in general.
Although the competition is very tough and since everyone is so hardworking the faculty tends to give much difficult assignments

IITs are good not for the faculty or anything they are best place because of peer group which we get. So in the end it’s everything about the people you hang out with. That will make ke most impact on your future.

Totally agree with the extra curricular part, most students at their prime teenage time get into the rat race of jee and not work on acquiring skills and finding their passion. I actually have created a document with all the arguments and want to get people aware about it but I don’t have that kind of followers so if you wanna put out something like that on your channel please hmu we can maybe help other teenagers

@Overkill Gaming oh bhai , congratulation , I am 14 year old.,.Give me some advice ,.i don’t care about University i want to earn a lott of money By becoming Engineer but better university means More money i guess.

@Itachi Uchiha yes, of course. He probably didn’t research enough. Especially since a lot of students applying from India dont have any sort of guidance. He could have gotten accepted at GTech or equivalent.

    1. Tragical Reasoning

@Jace herondale admissions only look at one aspect…how many marks you can manage to score.. for someone applying to CS, they’re expected to be the “best of the best”.. in what..PCM?
You could have never used a computer in your life but if you can get a rank in JEE, you can study CS? See the flaw?

And the argument that they’ll study CS in college is stupid and part of the reason why Indian colleges produce a LOT of abysmal programmers

    2. Amey Singh

@Jace herondale I respectfully disagree. JEE is an exam which most of the non medical stream gives, not all of them can be considered as competition. Its like there a million givers but the ones who can be considered as competition are only the ones who qualify for advance. More applicants doesnt mean more competition lol. Cuz if this were the case then UCLA is more competitive than Harvard even though Harvard has a 4% acceptance rate. Therefore before considering a large crowd as a competition the quality of the crowd is also to be seen. If someone were to judge a competition between 100 hyenas and one lion, the lion would obviously win.

Bro give sat in 11. Sat is quite good. Go out and watch videos about how sat is like
Moreover more than studies you should do some co curriculars as well. Ci curricular does not mean cricket football. But coding robotics and anything you like is co curriculars.
In my school ppl get 1600/1600 or 1560 /1600 in sat. So yeah even i wanna give sat 🙂

    1. Uswah Want

@sumedha gupta listen madam…I’m myself studying for foreign colleges and what he did wasn’t even 10% of the effort students put…he just applied because he heard they offer a scholarship. And his sat scores, gpa and extracurriculars aren’t upto mark. He’s definitely lying about spending 90% time applying for top Colleges. That much time is enough to achieve excellence in any field
